October is the honest month around here. The leaves come off, the light changes angle, the first real rain of the season runs through everybody's yard, and suddenly you can see things about a street that were invisible in July. Bare Trees Reveal What the House Actually Faces
In summer, a mature canopy hides a great deal. Come late October in older sections of Oakwood, Kettering, and Dayton, the same street looks different. You can finally see the neighboring rooflines, the utility runs, the commercial building one street over, and how close that busy road really is. None of that is necessarily a problem. It is just information you would not have had in June.
